Tony gets on with interrogating Dina Araz to try and obtain the location of the Override device, but Dina is being decidedly uncooperative. She tries to play dumb and claims that it was her husband who had all the connections. Erin Driscoll informs Tony that CTU suspects a terrorist named Habib Marwan is at the center of the day's events. When Tony asks Dina about Marwan, she balks, but denies she knows him. It is only after Tony threatens her son Behrooz's pardon agreement that Dina talks. She confirms that Marwan was the architect of the attacks and that he is controlling the Override from downtown LA. Tony gives Marwan's location to Jack, who meets Curtis on-site and attempts to take down Marwan. Although CTU gets the Override and stops the nuclear plants from melting down in time, Habib Marwan manages to escape.

Tony interrogates Dina, and it is clear that despite all the drinking and depression, he hasn't missed a step. He is the same old intimidating, sarcastic, badass Almeida as he always was. Dina insists that she doesn't know anything about Habib Marwan's involvement in the day's events, but both Tony and Driscoll believe she is lying, as all roads lead to Marwan, and Dina was in too deep to be oblivious to Marwan's involvement. Tony re-enters the room to continue the interrogation. He instructs a tech to disconnect all video and audio recording. Dina still refuses to talk. Tony grabs Dina and drags her out into the lobby of the interrogation room. He screams at everyone to leave, including Erin. He throws Dina back into the interrogation room and pins her against the wall, holding her neck. He promises her that if she doesn't start talking, the pardon agreement for Behrooz will be rendered null
and void. Behrooz will go to prison for murder and treason. Tony tells Dina that he knows a little something about prison, and given the conditions of his confinement, he gives Behrooz three months before he commits suicide. The personal pain in Tony's voice is heartbreaking as we all realize how close Tony came to losing it before Jack and Palmer got him out. Tony's threats and the obvious truth in what he is saying resonates with Dina and she tells him what he wants to know - the address of a building where Marwan conducted business, the location of the Override.

Tony: I want you to tell me who's still out there. I want the name of anyone who can help us find that Override to stop the plants from melting down.
Dina: My husband kept all this from me, I only helped.
Tony: Yeah, that's a bunch of crap! Now we know you were just as involved as your husband. Listen, we're quite aware that the only reason you're helping us is because of your son. But believe me, it's not too late for us to change our minds about how we treat him.
Tony: Why don't you tell me about Habib Marwan.
Dina: I already told you.
Tony: No. You told me you never met him.
Dina: I haven't.
Tony: Danny, could you come in here please. [Danny enters] I'm gonna need all video and audio monitoring in this room disconnected. Thank you.
Dina: I'm not a stupid woman. What are you trying to prove with this?
Tony: I'm not trying to prove anything. I just don't want what I'm about to say to be recorded.
Dina: I don't believe you.
Tony: [grabs Dina roughly, dragging her] Open the door! [Takes Dina into the observation area] Everybody out! Get out, now! (to Erin Driscoll) Everyone, Erin.
[everyone leaves]
Tony: [throws Dina back into the interrogation room, then pins her against the wall by the throat] Unless you tell me the whole truth right now, that deal you made to save your son is over and he goes to prison for murder and treason!
Dina: You can't do that. The President signed an agreement.
Tony: If that deals gets in the way of protecting this country, you think the President's gonna stand behind it? He's gonna tear it up and your son goes to prison for the rest of his life. And I'll tell you, I know a little something about prison. And based on the conditions of his confinement, I'll tell you right now I give Behrooz about three months before he commits suicide. And by the way, I'm gonna make it my personal mission to make sure you never hear word one about what happens to him, ever.
